ARSTEPConcrete Admixtures

WATER REDUCING / SET RETARDING / PLASTICIZING CONCRETE ADMIXTURE

ARSTEP 85 S Series

ARSTEP 85 S is a water reducing, set retarding midrange plasticizer that decreases water/cement ratio to increase workability and mechanical properties of concrete while retarding the setting time of the concrete in hot weather conditions.

Performance

Product advantages

  • Increases ultimate strength of concrete.
  • Improves workability of the concrete.
  • Decreases risk of segregation.
  • Extends the casting and placing time of concrete.
  • Provides smooth surface finish for concrete in the formwork without any segregation.
  • Prevents cold joints during concrete production with long casting time.
  • ARSTEP 85 S is chloride free.

Application range

Areas of use

  • Ready mixed concrete production (with or without pump)
  • Hot weather concreting
  • Long distance concrete transportation
  • Production of various types of concrete such as reinforced, unreinforced, light or normal concrete
  • Mass concrete and roller compacted concrete applications

Use guidance

From selection
to application.

01

Application

Aggregates and the binder (cement-silica fume-fly ash-blast furnace slag) should be mixed until obtaining a homogenous mixture. After adding 70% of mixing water into the dry mixture, ARSTEP 85 S should be added into the rest of water and should be mixed properly. Warning: Concrete mix design and admixture dosage should be determined by laboratory tests according to the concrete class and properties.

02

Dosage

ARSTEP 85 S is used 0,5-1,0% of total binder weight.
